Laundry Room Makeover

My laundry room is directly off of my garage. It also happens to be our mud room and the "catch all" for shoes, purses, backpacks, coats and keys. Everytime I did laundry, I had to trip over shoes to get to the machine. You can see in my before picture, how little room there is to work and this is after I cleared out all of the clutter...
I moved my machines to make more room and added a little glam to this otherwise drab laundry room. I love it now!
Everyone is into the chevron stripes and I am no exception. I painted this message board and added the hooks for a pop of color and convenience.
Now I can't very well have a new laundry room that I love and still be tripping over shoes. So to fix this situation, I painted the dingy garage door black and stenciled a message for my family to see. This also takes care of having too many pairs of shoes hanging around where they shouldn't be. Even though we spray for spiders, the thought of them has my teenage girls taking the extra pairs to their rooms! Win win!!!
As always I will be linking up to some fab parties and I would love to read your comments!

  4. You need to come organize my laundry room too, or maybe I just need to keep up with the laundry better. :) Really like how decluttered and modern your laundry room is. I'm not a fan of making people leave shoes outside, but the sign is cute too.

  5. I love it! The colors are great. I'm really liking grays right now, and the touch of yellow is just perfect. Heck, if I had that laundry room, I might actually do some laundry!! :-D

  10. I love the colors and the hint on the door. The only thing I found missing now is a chandelier. It would look absolutely smashing with the beautifull wallpaper. Thank you for sharing. Found you at TGC.
