My Work in Progress

I wanted to show you the cabinet in my dining room.  My dining room is a work in progress.  I still want to do something with the chairs.  I haven't decided what yet.  Either I will make slip covers or just redo the seats.  The cabinet is going to be used as a liquor cabinet.  I am looking for decanters, a tray and anything else I might find.  The little gray table in the corner was also painted with stripes.  I'm not sure if I will keep it that way - it might just be too many stripes for me.

Your comments as always are appreciated!

  1. Your chandelier looks amazing in the space. I like the stripes inside the cabinet. You should bring in some of that grey/silvery/blue to the chair fabric to lighten up all the wood. What is that wall color, so rich.

  2. Thank you! I do agree with pulling the grays and silvers into the chairs. The wall color is called "Stable Brown" by Ralph Lauren. Funny, most people paint the room last but I painted the room before I had one piece of furniture in it. I love the color THAT much!
